Porch hosts, artists, volunteers, porch captains, local businesses, vendors, and sponsors turned a mile of Baker into one connected event.
Punk, jazz, folk, hip-hop, electronic, rock, brass, and more lived a block apart. You could follow a plan or find your next favorite band by turning a corner.
Donations helped pay performers and supported East 7th Arts, which provides art and music therapy for children with autism.
“I don’t know that it could have possibly gone better, to be honest. Just the vibes were awesome the whole day.”
“It’s such a cool concept to get more local bands out, and get more people in the area, to give them exposure. And it’s a nice way to build community in the neighborhood.”
“The Baker neighborhood stepped up in such a massive way to make this happen. It just speaks to the artist community in Denver.”
“the people who took time out of their day to do something one billion percent for the good of the world and others, and set an example of how we all can be living.”
“Even if people couldn’t come in, now they know about us.”
“When PorchFest happened, it was luck. … I was not expecting this street to be this busy, and I was a little nervous, but this has been great.”
“It’s all about the neighborhood and the people coming out.”
